A few sketches, Part nuts

I don't get the same everyday opportunity to draw people as I did when I got the bus everyday, but it does give me more time to do more personal work.

I've got a big .txt document on my desktop of ideas which I recommend. It's really handy since most of the inspiration I get is through browsing other peoples work.

Animal Collective officially released their new album Centipede Hz today, winner of the worst album art I've ever seen prize just topping other favourite band Why?'s Oaklandazulasylum cover:

Well, it's what's on the inside that counts, which fortunately has some great tracks such as Rosie Oh, Applesauce and Pulleys.

A few sketches, Part 1

I've got about 30 pages of sketches to upload, but I'll stagger them across the next few days. Most of these were drawn on the bus to/from Glasgow during the week

 

Some character sketches for a game idea, haven't drawn much for it so it's just exploration of style/imagery at the moment

 Some character stuff, based on drawings I did years and years ago. I got really into Sharpe, and Wind Waker, and watching late night American dramas, can't remember how old. I drew tons of these girls with rifles in a big sketchbook but then I lost the whole thing, one of my biggest regrets. 

I'm pretty sure I threw it away out of embarrassment

Back in dundee on Tuesday after a 2 week visit to Alford. Got something interesting to post about as well, next post though, next post. Lets just say you should keep an eye out for it...if you want to be my favourite pupil...and then we can talk about Bram Stoker's Macula..

Sketches June-July

Sorry it's been so long. I had a good few weeks just playing games, including Terraria (Wish I could play with friends), Rune Factory Frontier (Good but too many loading screens), and Ocarina of Time 3DS (Awesome!!..). It feels good to get some time to waste, but it can also leave me with a rather empty feeling, since it's not very productive.
That being said, some very exciting releases are coming 3rd/4th quarter this year - I'm looking forward to Skyrim, Dark Souls, Zelda: Skyward Sword and the potential release of Monster Hunter 3rd for PS3 here in Europe (Fingers crossed for this!) Also fingers crossed that I'll have time to play them.
